And people always wondered why I had one on my vest...

I've always had a healthy respect for the bayonet, and always had mine on my vest in Afghanistan. Maybe it's that touch of Scot in my ancestery.


Apparently it's not the first time in recent years that members of this unit have done this either. Back in 2004 they charged in Iraq. Netted 35 dead baddies, 3 wounded coalition soldiers.

I always just said "'Cause it'll never jam or run out of ammo." I'm just glad to see that it's still an effective tactic.
